Creating Links
Just a reminder? The objective is to get one of these
icons from this link page into your web program off line-
with an address hooked to it so that when your page is
on line a visitor can click on the Nenana icon and go to
the Nenana Homepage web site. 'Recipricol link' means
if you contact us we will do the same and put a link on
the Nenana page so we can help each other be found.
If you already know how and why - here are some
choices for you to select from- you need not read further
In more detail******* First you have to have access to your web
site off line and be able to edit it- which requires a web page
making program. If you do not have access-send your web page
maker to this page by saving it.

#1 Choose which of these Nenana icons on this page you want
on your page. Put your cursor on it and right click. You will get a
page asking you what you wish to do with this picture icon. If one
of the choices is to 'copy' then copy it and paste it into your web
program. If the only choice is 'save as' then you need to save this
in a format where it can go in a file that you can access from your
web program. Once you have my icon in your file go to step 2. If
this is unclear or does not work refer to your programs
instructions! Most programs should have instructions for creating
links

#2 You now need to get the picture icon onto your web page.
Usually you select where on your page you want my icon with
your cursor and paste my icon. or select 'insert picture from
file'.Once on your page the icon size can be resized to suit your
page. You may type in your own text to go along with the icon or
you may copy and paste it : "Nenana Alaska Homepage " or "
Nenana Alaska- the village I am from " Once the icon and text are
on your page you are ready for step 3

#3 Now you need to get a web address connected with the icon on
your page.
Again it may be easier to refer to instruction in your own
program but usually you have to have the Nenana Homepage page
address stored in your computer under 'favorites'- you might want
to check that it is the current domain address- not our old "MTA
on line" address. Your program should allow you to refer to this
list of saved sites. Select the Nenana site and drag it's address
over to the Nenana icon on your page. That's it! Upload it and it
should work!

Be sure to notify me when you have
the Nenana Homepage link on your
page, and forward me the address of
your page so I can verify your
address and I can make sure a link
from the Nenana page to yours is in
order. The purpose of exchange
links is so all of us in Nenana (or
with related sites) can be found. We
hope visitors find you because they
found the Nenana homepage-
likewise it would be nice for folks to
find out about Nenana and what we
have to offer because they found
your site and a link to the
homepage!
